Another fantastic evening at our village hall saw a full room for Watt Works – an open forum all about making sense of home energy options. The event brought together residents curious about solar panels, heat pumps, insulation, or simply saving on their electricity bills, with plenty of honest conversation and useful takeaways.
We were delighted to hear from four local residents who generously shared their real-life experiences of adopting different energy solutions. From electric cars, property renovation, agile tariffs, solar PV to air-source heat pumps, each speaker gave practical insights into the benefits, costs, and lessons learned along the way. Their openness and willingness to answer questions helped demystify what can often feel like a confusing topic – and has hopefully inspired others to explore what might work for their own homes.
A big thank you also goes to Jo from the My Home Made Better team for wrapping up the evening with a clear and informative overview of available grants, funding routes, and next steps for anyone wanting to take action. Her summary brought everything together perfectly and left attendees feeling both informed and empowered.
It was another great example of our community coming together, using our excellent village hall, and proving how much can be achieved when local experience meets collective curiosity.
EcoTitchfield would like to thank everyone who came along, asked thoughtful questions, and helped make Watt Works such a valuable evening.
